A tremor felt in the national territory a few minutes ago, according to official reports.
The earthquake was received in several departments of the country, according to reports from the National Seismological Service and the Guatemalan Red Cross.
For its part, the National Institute of Seismology, Meteorology, Volcanology and Hydrology (Insivumeh) confirmed that the telluric movement had a magnitude of 4.8 and that the epicenter was located on the coast of the Pacific, between Retalhuleu, Mazatenango, Suchitepéquez and Quetzaltenango.
According to the preliminary report, the magnitude of the tremor was 4.7.
So far, there is a report that the earthquake was sensitive in the departments of San Marcos, Quetzaltenango, Suchitepéquez, Retalhuleu and Sololáthe Guatemalan Red Cross.
The relief bodies perform monitoring to verify if there were personal or material damage because of the tremor.
