The afternoon of this Second Saturday of Lent They travel a good part of the three processions historic center, here we tell you the streets and avenues that they will travel, as well as streets where to circulate.
Beaterío de Belén
The solemn child procession of Beaterío de Belénlocated on the 9th Avenue and 14 street leaves this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. On his brief tour, he goes to the 12th street on the 9th Avenue, crosses in the 12th street towards the 6th Avenue, which travels from 12 to 14 streets, where he returns to the temple, at approximately 16.30.
San José procession
The consecrated image of the Virgin of Dolores of the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of the Lord of San Joséleave at 3 pm from the temple located on the 5th street and 13 avenue in Zone 1.
The procession has a relatively short journey, it is directed towards Juan Chapín Avenue, where it arrives at 4:00 p.m., then it goes to Isabel La Católica Park (17.30 hours), on its way to the Metropolitan Cathedral, where it arrives at 6.30 pm.
After crowning the Plaza de la Constitución, it takes the 6th street in the direction of the 8th Avenue. There he crosses towards 5th street, which travels until he returns to the temple, on the 13th avenue, around 9.30 pm.
Santo Domingo Procession
This Saturday the watch and procession of Jesus of the good death and of the Virgin of Dolores of the Basilica Nuestra Señora del Rosario, in the Temple of Santo Domingo, located on the 12th Avenue and 10th Street of Zone 1.
The watch starts at 9 am and ends with the procession.
The procession leaves at 4 pm in the direction of the 12th street, is heading towards 11 avenue, which travels to the 4th street. There it crosses towards 10 avenue, travels to the 8th street, where it crosses and goes to 12 avenue to enter the temple, at approximately 21 hours.
Alternate routes through the processions of the Historic Center
If the historic center must necessarily cross this Saturday, March 15:
- Take the 5th or 3rd avenues if it is directed to the south, towards zone 2. either the 2nd or 4th avenues if it is directed to the north (towards the 18th street).
- As for the streets to go from this to west or vice versa, we recommend you take the 16th street if you go to Elena Avenue. Or 15 if they are in reverse.
- To the other extreme, take into consideration that the San José procession travels a good stretch of the 1st and 3rd streets.
