Recognized for interpreting successes such as “Fonta tears”, “Pity is my wife” and “Goodbye to my lover” next to the Montéz group of Durango, the vocalist and musician Adalberto Terrazas, known as “Beto”, died on Friday night March 28 after presenting health complications derived from his fight against cancer.
The news was confirmed by the group, which expressed its regret for the loss of the artist and that, on March 22, had asked his fans to make a prayer chain to the complications presented by the singer.
In its Instagram account, the group reported the news, pointing out the regret for its departure and the void that would leave in the Mexican Duranguense and Regional music.
With the message: “Betillo, you were a true warrior, not only in life, but also in the vast universe of music,” and a photograph of the artist, the members of the group said goodbye.
In his statement, Montéz de Durango highlighted the honor that represented being able to live with the singer, listen to his powerful voice, be part of his charisma and see how he dominated the stage in each presentation, giving him everything for his followers.
The group also recalled the good times that spent with Adalberto Terrazas, who made them cry with laughter and whose advice were wise both in music and life.
“Sharing the stage with you was an honor that we will treasure forever, but being your friend was a privilege that fills us with gratitude,” said the group after knowing the departure of one of his vocalists.
Finally, the Mexican music group sent condolences to the singer’s widow, as well as his friends and family, who surrounded him during these years of fighting cancer.
What did the singer die?
The vocalist Adalberto Terrazas was diagnosed in June 2021 with colon cancer, a disease against which he fought for almost four years because his diagnosis was given in phase four.
The singer’s health was committed several days ago, after he presented complications in his fight against cancer, which, according to Mexican media, led him to be hospitalized and could be related to his death.
So far, neither the family nor the group have communicated the causes of the death of Adalberto Terrazas. Likewise, the details of its velation have been maintained under reserve for the media.
The last report on your health was the one given by the same group on March 21, when they requested prayer for their vocalist, who presented complications with their fight against cancer.
According to details of the Mexican media Radio Rancho Grande, the singer’s wife, Ruby Terrazas, would have declared to the media that, due to the advanced evolution of cancer, the doctors pointed out that nothing could be done to fight the disease, so they only “had to expect God to take it, because the cancer had advanced him so much that he already has it in the head,” he says.

That you rest in peace,” said Daniel Terrazas, current vocalist of the group.
For his Mexican and regional music, he left his city of Durango to follow his dream of being a musician in Mexico City. For years he sought to join a band, until in 1996 he joined Montéz de Durango.
In 2004, the singer decided to try their luck as a soloist and published his first single entitled I’m going to wait for you. It was in 2005 when he launched his best known success, The two faces of the currencywhere he consecrated as a musical reference with songs like You look into the eyes, Honey -eye doll and The first kiss.
His career was full of great successes, which led him to receive recognition to the trajectory granted by CD Records in 2019.
