The Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) reported this Saturday, March 29 that a judge issued a processing order against six people detained during the Bodavilla case operation.

Claudia Elizabeth Paz Max and Bryan Humberto Paz Max will be investigated for the crimes of promotion, facilitation or favor of prostitution; money laundering or other assets, and illicit association, according to the MP.

The investigating entity added that César Augusto de Paz Sandoval was linked to the illegal association; Blanca María Arias Batres, for her own cover -up; and Marta Melisa Gómez Pérez, by illegal association.

Lilian Esmirla Felipe Morales was linked to the process on March 13, 2025 for the crime of promotion, facilitation or favor of prostitution, by the Court of Instance of the Shift of Guatemala, after being arrested in flagrance during the operation, the MP added.

The Court of First Instance with specialized competence in crimes of trafficking in persons granted substitute measures to the preventive detention, which include roots, prohibition of communicating among those involved in the criminal process and approaching the properties used for the sexual exploitation of women, said the MP.

These measures were implemented together with telematic control, he said.

In addition, the court granted a period of five months to the MP to conclude the investigation.

“The Bodavilla criminal structure operated in Guatemala City and on the road to El Salvador, offering sexual services of women in business called Bodavilla, Cleopatras and Beeza. The investigation also managed to determine the existence of money laundering from sexual exploitation,” said the MP.
