Two employees die during drainage cleaning in zone 11 shopping center

Two men died while carrying out cleaning tasks in the drainage registry of the Miraflores Shopping Center, in zone 11 of the capital, this March 31 was reported.

The bodies were located on Monday morning in a drainage system, located in the basement of the mall.

Municipal Firefighters arrived in the area and recovered the bodies of two men.

The victims were identified as Nick Anderson López Jiménez, 20, and Daniel Steven Miranda Tol, 30.

According to preliminary inquiries, the men entered the drain well, but, apparently, the gases that emanated from this caused them poisoning and that is why they died.

It was monthly work

In a press release, the Hidrocsa company, part of the OC’s group, civil and health works, informed that the two deceased employees belonged to that company.

“With deep regret, we reported the accident occurred today, during a routine job, which resulted in the death of two of our collaborators. They were carrying out drainage maintenance work in a shopping center located in zone 11, as part of a monthly contract for contract that we carried out with the establishment in question,” said the statement.

“In this moment of deep pain, we want to express our most sincere condolences and solidarity to the families, friends and co -workers of our collaborators. We recognize the value and dedication with which they performed their work, our commitment is to accompany their loved ones in this difficult process, providing them with all the necessary support,” was mentioned.

“We are working immediately to clarify the circumstances of this event and strengthen all security measures in our operations. We thank everyone for their understanding and respect in this painful moment for our work family,” the document closed.

Miraflores is pronounced

The Miraflores shopping center also published a press release in which it gives its condolences to the families of Nick Anderson López Jiménez and Daniel Steven Miranda Tolcollaborators of its Grupo OC’s provider.

They point out that, before the emergency, they activated their protocols and allocated all the necessary resources to address the situation immediately.

“We deeply sympathize with their families, co -workers and friends in this difficult time, accompanying them with respect and empathy in their pain,” reads the document.

“We are collaborating closely with the competent authorities to clarify the causes of this unfortunate accident. In Miraflores, the security and well -being of all the people who are part of our community, clients, collaborators and suppliers is our top priority,” closes the information.
