Culture reports repair and maintenance work on the staircase of temple IV in Tikal National Park.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports reported on Thursday, April 3 that, in the Tikal National Park, next Monday, April 7, from 13 to 16 hours, and on Tuesday, April 8, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., repair and maintenance works will be carried out on the staircase of the IV Temple.
He explained that these tasks aim to guarantee the safety of visitors to the site.
During this process, access to this area will be temporarily restricted.
However, tourists can continue enjoying the other areas of the archaeological zone of the Tikal National Park.
The administration of the Tikal National Park highlighted its commitment to the security and well -being of visitors, since the objective is to offer a safe and enriching experience.
According to the National Council of Protected Areas, Tikal is a sample of the most excellent of Guatemala’s cultural and natural heritage. It was established as a National Park in 1955, where the most extensive and monumental Mayan city is located, of great cultural and natural importance in Petén.
