The Appeals Commission of the Guatemala Football Federation ratified the sanction of three points lost to Marquense against Xinabajul in the case of undue alignment of Ramiro Rocca.

Finally an update was given with respect to the case of Ramiro Rocca and the undue alignment that cost the Marquense Deportivo the match against Xinabajul Huehue of the first day of the Clausura 2025.
The San Marcos club received on February 3 the notification that the Disciplinary organ of the National League He decided to take away the three points he obtained after defeating Xinabajul on the first date of the tournament, and after a long legal fight, the Appeals Commission of the National Football Federation of Guatemala (Fedefut) issued A resolution that seems to give history an end.
The Commission decided to ratify the sanction that was imposed on Marquense and won the game to Xinabajul on the table 0-3.
“The sanction described in literal A of the first point of the ODLNF-06-2424-2025/TC dated February 3, 2025” is confirmed, it is what is read in the minutes that was issued on April 10.
The resolution also indicates that Marquense is granted a period of 15 days to make a “unique payment that corresponds to the concept of tariff for the amount of 4,500 quetzales”.
In the same document, the Appeal Commission shows that Ramiro Rocca was awarded the game credential by the National League “without any warning or observation that it is not eligible for the official matches of this season.”
Which is “an objective contradiction at the beginning of good faith and legitimate trust that must exist between League and Affiliated Clubs when extending a game credential that authorizes the player when interpreting that all the requirements were met to be eligible.”
At the moment Marquense has not issued his opinion, but he is likely to do so in the next few hours.
The fight for points was important for Marquense, since it is last of the accumulated table and only four games have left to close the season.
His next games will be against Achuapa, Xelajú MC, Municipal and Malacateco.
To save the category, the team needs to add at least six points and that Achuapa stops adding six points to be able to pass it in the accumulated.
