Holy Week has started in Guatemala, and many people have made the decision to take advantage of their rest to travel somewhere in the country.
However, this also means an increase in vehicular mobility on the different routes of Guatemala, given that many travelers have left their homes in these first days of the major week.
According to information from Emetra, on April 17 and 18, the days with the greatest vehicular congestion will be, specifically in the area of the Historic Center given to the passage of processions.
According to Amilcar Montejo, communication director of Emetra will be about 2.5 million people who will visit the city center and for that reason there will be a closure from the 1 PM on Friday.
The traffic authorities have registered numerous vehicular events throughout this week, such as traffic accidents, vehicles with mechanical damage, blockages, etc.
