Through a letter published on social networks, artist Miguel Bosé shared an emotional message addressed to his father, Luis Miguel Dominguín. The singer, who has been characterized by maintaining hermeticism about his family and intimate life, opened his heart to thank his father for his love and legacy.
As a tribute on the anniversary of his death, Bosé recalled the moment when he received the news of his father’s departure, one of the most important bullfighters in Spain, and exalted the work and importance of a father in the life of a son.
In 2023, in an interview for Telecinco, the singer had detailed that, for a long time, the void left by the death of his father occupied more space every day: “becomes bleak, distressing, does not let you breathe and, suddenly, he leaves,” he said. The theme has been a sensitive wound for the artist for years.
Finally, in his message, Bosé said: “I received a phone call by announcing that you had gone. It was like a jug of cold water. A ‘I did not believe it’, something that I still do not do until now.” With this he confessed how difficult it has been to face his father’s absence.
He also reflected on the idea that, where his father is, he will be in a better place, well, he said, “she would be sad to see the current state of Spain.
Criticism of the current state of Spain
“Where are you, you will be much better than here,” Bosé said when criticizing the current European country. “This world is very scrambled, and the country that you love so much is not the shadow of what was, of that great country.”
The singer recalled that his father deeply loved Spain, where he built a race and left a legacy within the world of bullfights. Along with this, he made a promise: “We will recover it again, I promise you.”
The criticism of the current political situation continued with the message: “For now it is in the hands of incapable and traitors, of liars and corrupt. We are all wishing to go once and for all. All.”
When closing his political reflection, Bosé recalled the warnings his father made about the future of the country, and the deep conversations that both used to have. “Today I can only prove you right. Once again,” he concluded.
Talk about your children
As rarely, Miguel Bosé talked about his children, this time delving into the personalities of each one, who remind his own parents. In the letter, he told his father: “Your grandchildren are huge and they are good people.”
“One of them is nailed to you,” he said by highlighting the physical resemblance between his son and his father. He even said that when his son exposes a point with vehemence, he interrupts him in a joke and says: “Calla, dad, that I know you are inside …”, showing that his memory remains.
On his other son, he stressed that he is identical to his mother: “You can see that you agreed not to give me truce. Nor peace. Something for which, in the background already daily, I will be grateful to you,” he confessed.
Finally, he acknowledged how much he missed it and reflected on how much a father can want to want his son, something that, he said, did not know how to value at the time.
