With the presentation of the documentary The Tsimane, the community of Bolivia where people age slowerthe Central America Festival will begin its new edition, which will be held in Guatemala from May 19 to 24, with activities in Totonicapán, Comalapa and Guatemala City.
The 48 cantons of Totonicapán will be responsible for opening the festival with the first event, by transmitting the BBC World documentary that addresses the life of the Tsimane, an indigenous community of Bolivia whose cardiovascular health and aging rhythm have fascinated scientists around the world. This production is part of the program Central America has a screen.
The event will also have the participation, in Videoforo, by Carolina Robino, executive producer of the documentary, and Jorge Pérez Valery, video producer, who will share their experience when they enter this community hidden in the Amazon.
