Governor of Florida approves abuses of protesters and sheriff threatens executions

The governor of Florida, Ron Desantis, declared that drivers can ram protesters if they consider that their life is in danger. For its part, Brevard’s County Sheriff warned that you can kill those who protest.

Desantis ignited the controversy by stating that motorists have the right to run to protesters if they feel threatened. The statements occurred two days after the national protests convened for June 14, under the motto “No Kings”.

In an interview in the program The Rubin ReportDesantis said that no one should stay “like a sitting duck” while a crowd tries to get it out of the vehicle.

“If you are driving on a street and a crowd surround your vehicle and threatens you, you have the right to flee for your security. And if you do it to someone, it is your fault to hinder you,” he said.

Molly Best, an attached spokeswoman for the Governor’s office, said that obstructing public roads is illegal and that citizens have the right to protect themselves.

“In Florida, violence is not tolerated, but personal defense is guaranteed,” he added.

The “No Kings” protests, which coincide with the military parade for the birthday of President Donald Trump and the Army in Washington DC, have been summoned as peaceful manifestations, according to their organizers.

“One of the fundamental principles of our protests is non -violent action. We ask participants to avoid any confrontation and always act within the law,” they said in a statement.

Sheriff launches warning

Belvard County Sheriff, Wayne Ivey, warned possible leftist protesters: “If you throw a brick, a incendiary bomb or aim a weapon against one of our agents, we will notify your family where to collect your remains, because we are going to kill you, dead cemetery.”

Ivey added that those who spit or assault an officer will be sent to the hospital and then to prison. He also warned that those who surround vehicles to prevent the passage “will be run over and dragged by the street.”
