The Mexican Fernando Dolores, construction worker, was released after having remained detained for driving without a license, after being involved in an accident that did not cause, on a road in Florida, United States.
Dolores told Univisión News that, at the time of the accident, his vehicle was detained when he was beaten by another car.
“I was driving well and we were arrested when he hit a troca and this, in turn, hit my car. It was something unfair, he doesn’t use,” he said.
As reported, the driver responsible for the incident, an American citizen, was not arrested or sanctioned, while he was handcuffed for not carrying a current license.
“The police arrived, they didn’t tell him anything, they just asked for his document, they took a picture and was the first to leave,” Dolores said.
The worker migrated from Mexico five years ago. He explained that he initially entered the country with Visa and worked in the countryside, where he was a victim of labor abuse. Currently, process a special visa for people in that condition.
It had a temporary driver’s license that was revoked by mistake. “I do not manage to go to parties or by taking; handling because I have the need to work. I don’t do anything wrong,” he said.
The immigration authorities recognized the mistake and allowed him to renew the document provisionally.
“As you can see, I am here in the DIN-B and I came to manage my license. It is not an official identification yet, but it is temporary while the ID comes,” he said.
Fernando Dolores works in the concrete area and dreams of establishing his own company. He assures that he feels relieved to know that he can move without fear of the country’s roads.
