The disappearance of a driver from an application platform remains unsolveddespite the fact that his vehicle was located abandoned in Barberena, Santa Rosa, during the morning of Holy Thursday.
The car was found in an alley in the Utzumazate canton, after neighbors alerted the authorities about its presence there.
According to testimonies, the car was abandoned in the area on the night of Holy Wednesday by two men who got out of it and left.
Did not answer calls
Hours later, relatives identified the car as the one driven by Alex Romeo García, 53, who disappeared on Holy Tuesday after leaving the Santa Amelia neighborhood, zone 16 of Guatemala City.
According to his brother, Noé García, the man works as a tailor and also works as a driver for a transportation application.
Since the day of his disappearance, he has not answered calls, which has increased the concern of those close to him. Likewise, family members detailed that García was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses congregation.
The Public Ministry confirms that, during the inspection of the vehicle, no illegal signs were found, while the proceedings continue to establish the whereabouts of the driver.
