Investigators from the General Subdirectorate of Criminal Investigation and Interpol Guatemala captured this Thursday, May 21, a Venezuelan-Spanish citizen for the purpose of extradition to Spain for homicide, the National Civil Police (PNC) reported.
According to the PNC, this is Isaac “N”, 23 years old, a physiotherapist, captured in the Shinshin village, Gualán, Zacapa.
Isaac, of Venezuelan and Spanish nationality, had an arrest warrant issued on May 19, 2026.
The Spanish authorities accuse him of the crime of homicide, provided for in article 138 of the Spanish Penal Code, the PNC added.
The arrested person was placed at the disposal of the corresponding authorities to continue with the process, the police report indicated.
According to the PNC, in 2026 26 extraditable cases have been captured, of which 16 are wanted for drug trafficking and 10 for other crimes.
