This Saturday, April 4, traffic authorities and relief bodies reported on a strong vehicular collision that occurred on the route to the Pacific.
According to information provided by Provial, the accident occurred recorded at kilometer 49 of the old Palín-Escuintla route.

For their part, the Volunteer Firefighters indicated that, preliminarily, they reported at least ten people injured and one man dead.
The rescue forces indicated that, to free the body of the deceased person, they used vehicular extraction equipment, because the victim was trapped between the iron bars of one of the vehicles.
Authorities indicated that, as a result of the accident, the northbound lane is blocked while the corresponding proceedings are carried out.
Finally, the National Civil Police reported sabout the capture of the pilot of the extra-urban bus, identified as Marvin Arriaza.
He also indicated, through a publication on social networks, that the General Directorate of Transportation fined the pilot, since It did not have a speed limiter.
Through a statement from the General Directorate of Transport, the pilot received a fine of more than Q20 thousand for not having a speed limiter, and another Q5 thousand for not having a pilot registration.
