The Volunteer Firefighters reported that this Monday, April 13, at kilometer 125 of the Inter-American route, a tanker truck carrying fuel overturned.

Lifeguards from the Los Encuentros station, Sololá, worked at the scene and applied chemical foam to the tanker as a preventive measure.

In shared videos it is observed that the truck was overturned on one of the lanes, and the fuel spill on the asphalt was reported.

Provial reported that cranes worked to remove the accident vehicle, and that the passage was affected in both directions of the route.

The Traffic Department of the National Civil Police indicated that firefighters also organized to remove the spilled fuel and the vehicle.

He recommended caution and suggested using alternate routes due to the accumulation of vehicles after the accident.
