The Ministry of Health shared this Thursday, April 16, a video that reveals how the theft of medicines occurs at the Elisa Martínez Children’s Hospital, in Puerto Barrios, Izabal.

The video documents how a group of people extract the boxes, which they place at the entrance door of the warehouse.
Then they move them to the Pharmacy area; Later, at night, they take them to the trunk of a car.
The Ministry of Health stated that it identified behavioral patterns for theft, in a coordinated manner between internal and security personnel.
He stressed that, for the most part, the stolen medications are to serve the child population.
Salud stated that it has already reported those involved in the theft of the medicines to the corresponding authority.
