Five people are captured for drug dealing in Petén

Five alleged drug distributors were captured during three raids in San Benito and Santa Elena, Flores, Petén, the National Civil Police (PNC) reported this Thursday, April 23.

The raids were carried out by agents from the General Subdirectorate of Anti-Narcotics Information Analysis, in coordination with prosecutors from the Public Ministry.

As a result, Bill “N”, 38 years old; José “N”, 35; Rocsany “N”, 33; Carlos “N”, 37, and Evelyn “N”, 35.

During the proceedings, the authorities seized a bag with marijuana; 45 bags with cocaine, and three plastic containers with the same substance.

In addition, 153 crack stones, Q494 in cash and five cell phones.

According to the PNC, upon entering one of the properties, the detainees tried to set fire to the drugs and money, which is why the intervention of Volunteer Firefighters was necessary to control the fire.
