American media have reported that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has ordered his agents several restrictions to reverse the controversial strategies in favor of Donald Trump’s immigration campaign.
According to statements of two officials from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to NBC, the agents of ICE will now not be able to enter homes without a court order.
ICE agents will also limit their detentions in immigration courts only to foreigners with current deportation orders.
According to officials, ICE agents would have received verbal instructions not to enter homes without court orders, a practice that has been harshly criticized by civil rights advocates.
The arguments against ICE raids without court orders they point out that this is a violation of the Fourth Amendment of the US Constitution, which protects against unjustified searches and seizures by the Government.
