This weekend the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (Insivumeh) reports hot conditions for the entire country, according to its latest forecast.
The change in climate conditions reports a decrease in rainfall, at least during the first hours of the day and the afternoon, with some rain likely at night in the south and center of the country.
Authorities recommend people protect themselves from hot conditions with sufficient hydration, sun protection on the skin and not spending too much time in the sun.
Maximum temperatures can reach up to 41 degrees in the eastern and northern departments of the country, according to Insivumeh experts.
Using a hat, sunscreen and clothing appropriate for the season can help mitigate the heat reports that authorities are already predicting, accompanied by good hydration.
The recommendations and care also cover pets, who must have water and not be directly under the sun.
Consult the Guatemala UV Index and know the times of greatest radiation to take the necessary precautions and protect your health.
