In a new search that was carried out, this time in the Cantel prison, Quetzaltenango, the authorities confiscated privileges that the inmates had.
In this action by the authorities, it is once again confirmed how the detainees managed to bring in different items to maintain communication abroad, presumably with other criminal groups in order to continue keeping their operations active.
In addition to the communication equipment, a large amount of intoxicating beverages and drugs were seized during the search, as detailed by the Guatemalan Army on its social network X.
The action of the authorities inside the prison began around 6 a.m., by noon on April 26, the results were already available with a breakdown of the confiscated crimes:

• 12 wrappers for alleged marijuana

• 04 small bags with possible cocaine
• 08 stones of possible crack
• 500 containers for possible cocaine
• 29 tobacco cigars

The details of what was seized, in addition to exposing access to drugs and communications equipment, reflect equipment intended for the entertainment of the detainees.
