A new act of violence registered at 6:49 a.m. this Sunday, April 26 in the El Gallito neighborhood, zone 3, where two men from Chiquimula were injured by firearms.
The victims were identified as Abner Josué Machorro Cortés, 21, and Vielman Uriel España López, 26. The first suffered multiple gunshot wounds, while the second suffered a wound to the left shoulder.
According to the report of the National Civil Police (PNC), the attack occurred in the 3a. avenue and 12th street in the El Gallito neighborhoodzone 3, where those affected moved in a pickup white.
After the attack, the wounded drove to the 8a. avenue and 15 street in zone 1where they were treated by lifeguards from the Municipal Firefighters.
Firefighters confirmed this version and added that one of the injured was traveling in the back seat of the vehicle, while the other had minor injuries.
At the scene there were signs of pickup White Hilux, with P500GYF license plates, which had at least eight gunshot wounds.
The case was under investigation by the Homicide Investigation Section, and the preliminary hypothesis is that it was a direct attack. To date, police authorities have not reported the capture of any suspects.
