Cinema figures such as Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson and Tom Holland will share the screen in 2026 thanks to the premiere of The odysseydirected by renowned filmmaker Christopher Nolan, who keeps his followers expectant with this production.
The film, which will hit the big screen in July, will present an adaptation of Homer’s classic poem, The Odyssey (The odyssey), and will follow Odysseus’ journey after the Trojan War. The character faces various challenges in his attempt to return to Ithaca and reunite with his family.
Odysseus will be played by Matt Damon in this version, in which he will play the king of Ithaca, who, after establishing himself as a hero during the war, undertakes the journey back home to reclaim his throne.
During his return, Odysseus faces mythological creatures, dangerous seas, gods, sirens, and even natural phenomena that delay his arrival home. The film will seek to present the 10 years that it took the warrior to finally return to Ithaca, highlighted the GQ portal.
The film will hit theaters on July 17 and will try to condense the 10 years of the story about Odysseus’s fight. In the first trailer, Nolan showed the style that the production will maintain, with elements of Greek mythology.
The preview showed actors such as Robert Pattinson in the role of Antinous, who seeks to take control of Ithaca in the absence of Odysseus and marry Penelope, a character played by Anne Hathaway.
Tom Holland will leave his superhero suit to play Telemachus, son of Odysseus, whom the trailer showed alongside Hathaway. The odyssey will become Nolan’s thirteenth film as a director, he noted Infobaeso the filmmaker will seek to return to the Oscars.
An outstanding cast will also be integrated for this production, whose members recorded in various locations in Greece, Italy, Iceland, Scotland and Morocco. Other actors who are part of the cast are:
