Get to work transforms SMEs and opens call for second season

The program seeks to strengthen the functionality, productivity and image of small and medium-sized businesses in Guatemala, with interventions that will be broadcast in prime time starting in August.

The second season of the program Let’s get to work officially opened its call from May 1 to June 15 for small and medium-sized companies seeking to strengthen their work spaces and improve your productivity, functionality and image.

In this new edition, the project will select 10 ventures —eight located in the capital and two in the departments— whose businesses will be intervened as part of a strategic support process aimed at promoting their growth.

The initiative also seeks to highlight the importance of trades such as electricity, carpentry, plumbing and painting, considered fundamental for the country’s economic dynamics and the development of infrastructure and services.

José Andrés Ardón, executive director of the Guatemalan Chamber of the Construction Industry, highlighted the impact of the program on the appreciation of the construction sector.

“That is why projects like Let’s get to work They are responsible for dignifying and highlighting the importance of construction for the country. As a Chamber we are very happy to be part of this project, with allies such as Free Press and Guatevisión”, he expressed.

Positive impact

For her part, María José Paiz, from Corporación Banco Industrial, stated that this type of initiatives generates a positive impact on the economic and business development of the country.

“For us, supporting this second season is of utmost importance. We saw that the first was very successful, where those dreams were built into realities. Subsequently we see how the participants grow in clients, sales and market positioning, clear indicators of the impact of the project,” he indicated.

Gunther Wellman, Audience and Marketing Manager at Grupo Prensa Libre, highlighted the social focus of the reality and its contribution to strengthening SMEs.

Supporting SMEs in the transformation of their installed capacity allows them to access better opportunities and gives us the possibility of making those stories visible,” he noted.

Wellman explained that the second season will be made up of 10 one-hour episodes, which They will be broadcast in prime time starting next August 3. Each episode will show the stories of the entrepreneurs, the process of transforming their businesses and the remodeling carried out.

The program is promoted through an alliance between the private sector, the media and unions, including Banco Industrial, Cementos Progreso, Grupo AG, Cemaco, Pinturas Paleta, Prensa Libre, Guatevisión and the Guatemalan Chamber of the Construction Industry.
