From Mexico City, BTS will meet with its Mexican followers during the concerts scheduled for this May 7, 9 and 10, as part of the tour with which he promotes his most recent album, ARIRANG.

Prior to the concerts, the band made up of Kim Nam-joon, known as RM; Kim Seok-jin (Jin); Jung Ho-seok (J-Hope); Min Yoon-gi (Suga); Jeon Jung-kook (Jungkook); Kim Tae-hyung (V), and Park Ji-min (Jimin) met with the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, at the National Palace of Culture, in Mexico City, where they shared messages from the ARMY and their requests for new concerts.

The meeting brought together thousands of followers of the septet outside the National Palace of Culture and showed the importance of the group. One of the highlights of the visit occurred when the boy band came out to one of the balconies to greet their fans.

One of the members addressed the public and expressed his gratitude for the love received. In addition, they indicated that they are looking forward to the start of the concerts. During the press conference called “The morning of the people”, held on May 7, the president highlighted that the attendance of at least 50 thousand followers, known as ARMY, was estimated outside the National Palace of Culture.

Claudia Sheinbaum provided details of the meeting and highlighted the simplicity of the members of the South Korean band. He also indicated that he conveyed to the artists the request of his Mexican followers to offer new concerts and assured that, upon consulting them, they showed interest in returning.

Months ago, in Mexico a series of movements were generated on social networks and public spaces to demand clarity in the sale of tickets for the group’s concerts, since followers reported that the tickets were sold out in minutes and then appeared for resale at high prices.

Given this, Sheinbaum proposed that the group return to Mexico, since, according to the EFE agency, approximately four million followers live in that country. The president indicated that the return could take place in 2027, as she requested to review the group’s agenda to schedule new dates in the country.

“BTS returns to Mexico in 2027. We are going to give you the dates,” highlighted the President.

The meeting occurred after the president sent a letter to the president of South Korea, Lee Jae-myung, to request new concert dates in Mexico and even the possibility for the band to greet fans who were left out of the presentations.

Despite the more than 30 degrees that were recorded in Mexico City, the EFE agency highlights, the fans waited for the group under the sun. Meanwhile, the band is preparing to perform at the GNP Stadium for three nights.
