This Saturday, May 9, in zone 1 of San José Poaquil, Chimaltenango, a group of bricklayers found a anti tank grenade 40 millimeters.
The men were trenching a piece of land to begin casting a wall and, when they came across the artifact, they stopped the work.
Upon discovery, the bricklayers notified the National Civil Police (PNC), which sent a specialized team from the Investigation and Deactivation of Weapons and Explosives Division (DIDAE) to ensure that the object did not explode.
In the images shared by the PNC, it is observed that the agents applied security protocols to move the explosive device to a desolate site, where was destroyed.
The authorities acted in time and no injuries were reported.
