In addition, one person died after a vehicle fell into a ravine in the Palatza sector, San Cristóbal Cucho, San Marcos. First responders from Departmental Municipal Firefighters rescued two injured people and recovered the body of the deceased victim.

Another case was reported at kilometer 210 of the old route to Verapaces, in the vicinity of Metamercado Tal Petate, where Volunteer Firefighters located a deceased person inside a corinth-colored vehicle.

Lifeguards from the 36th company, in coordination with agents from the National Civil Police, evaluated the victim and confirmed that he no longer had vital signs. Preliminarily, it is presumed that the person would have remained inside the car for approximately three days.

The causes of death have not yet been established and prosecutors from the Public Ministry were in charge of the corresponding proceedings.

An armed incident was also reported in the El Porvenir neighborhood, zone 6 of Villa Nueva, where lifeguards located a deceased man.
