The Volunteer Firefighters reported that this Wednesday, May 20, the body of a person was located in the Villa Canales cemetery.
They indicated that the body was wrapped in sheets and had not been identified.
A sign was left next to the body that will be part of the evidence for the investigation.
Similar findings have occurred this week. On May 18, in the 6th. avenue and 25 street in zone 1 of Mixco, the body of a person was located. The body was wrapped in sheets, according to the report.
In another event, the Departmental Municipal Firefighters reported that a man was shot dead at a bus stop in zone 2 of Zaragoza, Chimaltenango.
In addition, they reported that they were alerted about an armed incident in an alcoholic beverage business at kilometer 185 of the Cito-Zarco route, between Retalhuleu and Quetzaltenango.

Upon arrival, first responders located a man with a gunshot wound.
The victim was stabilized at the scene and later transferred to the Retalhuleu National Hospital to receive medical attention.
