According to Provial, the accident occurred in Sumpango, Sacatepéquez, in eastbound lanes; However, traffic is affected in both directions.
Several people traveling in the vehicles involved were taken to care centers for serious injuries and blows.
In images shared by the authorities it is observed that at least two trucks and a motorcycle were involved in the accident.
The line of vehicles reaches kilometer 47 of the Inter-American route and also affects the Chimaltenango bypass.
