Failures in SAT and Digital Customs systems complicate tax procedures and exports

The Superintendence of Tax Administration (SAT) reported on the afternoon of this May 22 general instability in their systems.

Given the inconveniences, the SAT assured that technical teams work to solve problems IT.

However, users on social networks reported that they have had difficulties entering the SAT portals for hours or since May 21.

Likewise, the Single Window for Exports (VUPE) also warned about instability in the customs system. Problems are experienced in:

  • Obtaining electronic signatures of documents
  • Connection for sending documents through Digital Customs
  • Printing of DUCA (Single Central American Declaration) summarized
  • Confirmation of El Salvador tax payment

The customs and tax authorities stated that they will notify users when the service is restored.

On April 28, the SAT stated that its systems did not present any incidents, amid reports of cyberattacks that affected institutions and universities in the country.
