Guatemala is preparing for a new season of international female beauty pageants. To choose the next representatives of the country, the 2026 edition of the Miss Guatemala Contest arrives, where 20 contestants will seek to hold one of the six international titles.

Miss Guatemala Contest seeks to provide a platform of representation for Guatemalan women on the international stage. Within its franchise there are titles such as Miss World, Miss Cosmo, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss International, Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International.

To determine who will be the next ambassadors of national beauty, the pageant will hold its final gala on June 14, where the candidates must demonstrate their skills in oratory, catwalk, elegance and beauty.

Regarding the profile of the beauty queens who will represent the country internationally, José Martínez, vice president of Miss Guatemala Contest, highlights that they are looking for Guatemalans with discipline, social commitment, academic preparation, values and career, qualities that complement the physical beauty required in each international contest.

“We seek to build comprehensive profiles. It is not just about beauty, but about finding women who have the necessary qualities to adequately represent the country on international stages,” highlights Martínez.

Over the last two years, this contest has surprised by adding new international crowns to its franchise. Martínez shared that the possibility of adding new titles is being evaluated, although this will depend on the performance and commitment demonstrated by the participants.

The final gala will be held at the Expo Center of the Tikal Futura Hotel and will feature the participation of Catalina Duque, Miss International 2025, and Emma Tiglao, Miss Grand International 2025, who will be part of the jury.
