Alison Oliva became one of the protagonists of the day of the J100 Galileo University Cup by advancing to the second round of the main draw after winning in one of the most disputed matches of the day.
The Guatemalan tennis player defeated the Armenian Alexandra Korneeva, eighth seed of the tournamentafter almost three hours of play. Oliva took the victory for 7-6 (5), 4-6 and 6-4 in a high intensity match that allowed him to stay in the fight for the title.

With the triumph of Oliva, Guatemala maintains several cards in competition within one of the most important youth tournaments held in the country.
