In a new adventure that will take the protagonists to explore unprecedented spaces of the Lost World and face new dangers, the ice age gives the first glimpse of his sixth production, titled Ice Age 6: Lava World.
Titled in English Ice Age: Boiling Point (Ice Age: Boiling Point), this new film will reunite Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Crash and Eddie. The production will arrive more than 20 years after the debut of the ice age and several years after Ice Age: Worlds Collide.
Disney and 20th Century Animation are responsible for bringing this franchise back. For this plot, the creatives decided to abandon the winter setting and move the characters to new areas of the Lost World, where they will face dangers related to volcanic activity and magma rivers.
In this film, Buck will accompany the unusual herd on an adventure marked by geological threats. In addition, new species will appear that live in areas near the volcanoes and will represent a danger to the protagonists.
Media like The Hollywood Reporter They highlight that the production will also feature dinosaurs and scenarios full of risks caused by volcanic lava. As Disney announced, the film will hit theaters on February 5, 2027.
As usual, the preview revealed by 20th Century Animation and Disney features an acorn, followed by Scrat, the iconic saber-toothed squirrel, who is lifted into the sky as his tail burns. Then Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Crash and Eddie appear with Buck.
The trailer shows scenarios dominated by lava and multiple dangers. Additionally, it introduces Baby Scrat, a character who, according to Infobaefirst appeared in the Disney+ series Ice Age: Scrat Tales.
For this new film, Disney will bring back the English voice cast that has accompanied the franchise since its inception in 2002 with the premiere of the ice age.
The cast is made up of Ray Romano, as Manny; Queen Latifah, as Ellie; John Leguizamo, as Sid; Denis Leary, as Diego; and Simon Pegg, as Buck.
The film will also be directed by John Donkin and produced by Lori Forte, so it is expected to join the successful franchise made up of:
