During 2025, EPM Guatemala consolidated a robust and resilient operation in its energy distribution, transmission and marketing businesses. In this context, EEGSA exceeded 1.58 million customers and maintained electricity coverage of more than 99%, while COMEGSA registered a demand of 5,023 GWh.
For its part, TRELEC strengthened the reliability of the electrical system through an infrastructure made up of nearly 85 substations and more than 800 kilometers of transmission lines.
The activity brought together representatives of the state, the diplomatic corps, the electricity sector, financial entities, organizations specialized in sustainability, business associations and strategic allies, who learned first-hand about the achievements of management aimed at generating value for clients, territories and Guatemala.
The report also highlights relevant advances in environmental sustainability. The organization achieved 97% on its Corporate Environmental Management Index, exceeding the corporate goal, increased the use of energy from renewable sources and reduced its greenhouse gas emissions, thus contributing to the country’s energy transition and decarbonization efforts.

In the social and governance sphere, EPM Guatemala continued to strengthen its ethical management, promoted the development of its human talent and consolidated spaces for dialogue and relationships with different sectors of society, reaffirming its commitment to transparent, responsible management oriented to the creation of sustainable value.
The presentation of this sixth Sustainability Report constitutes a key exercise in accountability and transparency, which allows it to share with its interest groups the results, challenges and opportunities that guide the management of EPM Guatemala, in line with its purpose of contributing to the well-being and development of the territories where it operates.
