The rains will continue in Guatemala this Tuesday, June 23, according to the Insivumeh forecast.
Ana Pérez, from the Center for Analysis and Forecasts, explained that the entry of humidity from both coasts continues, so the presence of rain on sectors of the Transversal Strip of the North and Izabal during the afternoon or night is not ruled out.
The warm atmosphere will also continue mainly in the south and north of the national territory.
According to monitoring, accumulated low rainfall is expected for the entire national territory; However, heavy rains are not ruled out over sectors of Izabal and the volcanic chain.
During the afternoon of this Tuesday, rain is expected over sectors of the Bocacosta, west and south of the central highlands. These could be accompanied by electrical activity.
In the Northern Transversal Strip and Petén, scattered cloudiness is expected during part of the afternoon, although partial cloudiness and short-lived rain are not ruled out.
The Insivumeh recommends taking the necessary precautions against the expected rains, since these could cause river flooding, floods, mass movements or lahars in a volcanic chain.
Maximum temperatures
In Izabal and sectors to the south of the Oriente valleys, high temperatures will be recorded that could range between 34°C and 36°C degrees at midday.
While in western sectors and part of the Northern Transversal Belt there could be maximum temperatures between 24°C and 26°C.
In the central highlands, maximum temperatures will range between 28°C and 30°C degrees.
