According to information published by the Departmental Municipal Firefightersthe attack occurred in a property located in block “Z”, lot 1, sector 3, where an alcoholic beverage sales center operates.
Lifeguards from the station came to the scene. Quetzal Citywho provided pre-hospital care and transported the injured, in delicate condition, to the emergency room. IGSS 7-19 and the Roosevelt Hospital. One person was deceased at the scene, so the corresponding authorities were notified.
Preliminarily, the deceased was identified as Bradley Ortega Ajín.

According to the initial version of the National Civil Police (PNC)a man entered the establishment, approached Ortega directly and shot him in the head. He later opened fire on other people who were at the scene, leaving eight injured.
After committing the attack, the person responsible left the scene and fled aboard a motorcycle.
Sector with a history of violence
This is not the first armed incident that has been recorded in the sector of Mount Carmel 3an area that in recent years has been the scene of similar attacks.

Authorities are keeping the new attack under investigation to determine the motive.
