Her daughter, Andrea Laya, and her youngest grandson, Mariano Ferrera, were found dead next to her.

The building collapsed on Wednesday, June 24, after two consecutive earthquakes shook the coastal area of ​​Venezuela.

Eduardo Fleritt, nephew of the actress, who led the search efforts along with other relatives, communicated the news through an official statement.

“With deep pain we inform that, after confirmation from our relatives and neighbors present at the scene, our beloved Gabriela Fleritt, Andrea Laya and Mariano Ferrera were found dead,” indicated the text released by the family.

As Eduardo Fleritt himself reported days before through his social networks, due to the lack of specialized machinery, he and other relatives went to the place to support the rescue efforts. On Saturday, June 27, it was reported that the comedian’s oldest grandson, Sebastián Landi, had been rescued alive.

In the statement, the family expressed their commitment to taking care of Sebastián Landi. “Today our commitment remains firm with Sebastián Landi, the beautiful gift of life that Gabriela, Andrea and Mariano left us. We will take care of him, protect him and always accompany him with all our love,” they noted.
