During the activity, the guests, including Guatemalan soccer figures, coach Mario Acevedo and Jairo Arriola; Lucy Gabrielse, Global Associate Marketing Manager of Potatoes USA; Javier Colín and Félix Valladares, representatives of Potatoes USA in Central America; They put on their gabacha to actively participate in the preparation of each dish, with potatoes from the United States as protagonists.
Beyond cooking, the activity allowed people to learn about the different presentations of potatoes from the United States, including the popular Russet potatoes, frozen potatoes and flakes to prepare mashed potatoes, highlighting their versatility and quality.
This year’s menu surprised with original and delicious recipes. As an appetizer, French fries with cheddar cheese and pico de gallo were prepared. The main course consisted of a herb puyazo accompanied by French fries with aioli sauce.
And to close with a flourish, an innovative dessert: a grilled potato pancake, made with Papa Russet, nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar; served with vanilla ice cream and maple syrup.

The day concluded with a pleasant lunch and a space for coexistence among the participants, who also learned the importance of always verifying that the potatoes are from the United States, a guarantee of quality and consistency for each preparation.
