Ronaldo Nazario praised Kylian Mbappé in a recent interview, in which he assured that the French striker reminds him of his best version as a footballer. For the Brazilian, the captain of France is one of the great references of current football.
“When I see Mbappé play he reminds me of myself in my best moment. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest in today’s football and a natural heir to the great football legends”stated the former forward, known as the Phenomenon.
The statements come at a great time for Mbappé, who has four goals in the 2026 World Cup and is fighting for the scoring leadership along with Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland and Vinícius Júnior. Ronaldo highlighted that the Frenchman has qualities such as speed, power, definition and the ability to appear in decisive moments.
The former Brazilian national team explained that these characteristics are what distinguish elite forwards and recalled that they were part of the virtues that marked his own career in the World Cups.
Ronaldo was also asked about the best teammate with whom he shared a dressing room. Without hesitation, he chose Zinedine Zidane and highlighted both his football quality and his personality within the group.
