The French star of Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappé, unleashed a strong controversy on social networks by publicly responding to the Paraguayan senator Celeste Amarilla, after a series of offensive messages that the politician published on her X account after the elimination of Paraguay against France.
In a publication published this Monday, Mbappé described the legislator as “despicable woman unworthy of her position” and accused her of spreading racist messages that, he wrote, tarnish the image of Paraguay.
“You are a despicable woman and unworthy of your position. You do not represent Paraguay, that country that has exuded passion and honor throughout the entire competition,” wrote the French scorer.
The attacker highlighted the effort made by the Paraguayan team during the tournament and regretted that Amarilla’s statements diverted attention from Albirroja’s performance.
“Due to its unawareness and its unapologetic racism, the entire world has already forgotten the journey and the historic effort that its players achieved during this World Cup, giving way to an incompetent lady who offers the worst possible image of her country,” he added.
Mbappé concluded his message with a warning: “I will never allow people like her to have the freedom to spread their hate and racism around the world.”

The reaction of the French captain occurred after the Paraguayan senator published a series of offensive messages against the footballer after Paraguay’s 1-0 defeat against France.
Among his publications, Amarilla described Mbappé as: “colonized Cameroonian, hard pretending to be French, resentful, nouveau riche, arrogant and ugly.”
Furthermore, he assured that the forward was “nervous and scared to death” during the match and stated that he regretted not having slapped him at the end of the match.
The controversy increased when the official published new offensive comments, in which she described the player as “gross” and used discriminatory expressions that unleashed a wave of criticism on social networks.
