DGT imposes 25 sanctions on buses for overloading passengers and expired mandatory insurance

This Tuesday, July 7, the General Directorate of Transportation (DGT) carried out a bus inspection operation in zone 13 of the capital.

The diligence had the support of Provial agents and the Municipal Transit Police.

According to the DGT, the objective was to verify compliance with current regulations and strengthen road safety.

He added that 19 public transport units were inspected and 25 sanctions were imposed.

Fourteen of the sanctions were for overloading passengers; five, for carrying expired documents; three, for failing to comply with the pilot registration, and three, for carrying expired mandatory insurance.

According to the DGT, the objective is to promote safer, orderly and law-compliant transportation.
