The World Cup reaches its last chapter this Sunday, July 19. After 38 days of competition, 104 matches and the first edition with 48 teams, Spain and Argentina face each other at the New York New Jersey Stadium to define the 2026 World Cup champion.
The Spanish team is competing in the second World Cup final in its history, after winning the title in South Africa 2010. On the other side is the current world champion. Argentina is looking for its fourth star, after the titles obtained in 1978, 1986 and 2022.
In addition to the match, the day marks another historic moment for FIFA: for the first time a World Cup final has a halftime show, as part of the closing of a tournament that broke participation records with 48 teams.
