A 23-year-old man, accused by authorities of being allegedly involved in a triple homicide that occurred on July 23 in Cuilapa, Santa Rosa, was captured this Monday, July 27, during a series of raids in the La Colina neighborhood, in Barberena, Santa Rosa, the National Civil Police (PNC) reported.
In the operation, security forces also seized an arsenal of firearms, ammunition and magazines.
The PNC, through Police Station 32, in coordination with investigators from the Specialized Criminal Investigation Division (DEIC) and the Public Ministry (MP), carried out five search procedures as part of the investigations related to the armed attack in which three people died.
The detainee was identified as Luis “N”, 23 years old. According to the PNC, upon realizing the police presence he tried to escape by jumping from the second floor of the building where he was, but he was captured.
During the investigation, investigators located a sack that, according to official information, the suspect intended to hide. Inside they found four pistols, one of them with a report of theft since June 15, 2025, another with the registration number frosted and one more without a visible registration number.
In addition, two AR-15 rifles, an AK-47 rifle, several rifle magazines, five pistol magazines and 271 ammunition of different calibers were seized. A cell phone was also seized.
The proceedings are part of the investigation into the armed attack perpetrated on July 23 in Cuilapa, Santa Rosa, in which three people lost their lives.
The PNC reported that investigations continue to identify and capture the alleged material and intellectual perpetrators of the incident.
