A little history

This tournament, which began in 1944, has maintained an impressive record of 82 consecutive editions without interruption, consolidating itself as a tradition in regional golf. Each country presents its best players, selected through internal classification processes, which ensures an exceptional level of play. Historically, the nations with more titles in the category of teams by teams have been Guatemala, Panama and Costa Rica.

In this competition, great referents of the Central American golf have been paraded, including Guatemalan Gustavo Staber, the Costa Rican Alvaro Ortiz and the Honduran Juan Carlos Álvarez in the category of Knights and Florence of Rolz and Beatriz de Arenas in the category of Ladies , who have left their mark on the history of competition.

The 82th edition of the Central American Golf Tournament promises to be a show of talent and passion for this sport, reaffirming the region’s commitment to the development of amateur golf.
