The Insivumeh forecasts warm atmosphere and rains in regions of the national territory this weekend.

The National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (Conred) reported that, according to the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology, for this weekend of May 24 and 25 the presence of fog is expected in the early hours of the morning, as well as a warm and humid atmosphere during the day.
In the central region, mornings are forecast with fog, partially cloudy skies and rains accompanied by electrical activity. The winds will be light from the north, with the possibility of changing their direction towards the south or southwest in the afternoon.
In the Pacific regions a very warm and humid atmosphere is expected, followed by a cloudiness increase and moderate to strong rains during the afternoon and night.
In the northern region, the conditions will be similar: morning fog, heat and humidity during the day, with possible rains accompanied by electrical activity in the afternoon.
Alta Verapaz, the Caribbean and the Northern Transversal Strip will have scattered rains, with a light to moderate wind.
Given these conditions, the Conred recommends that the population remain informed through official accounts, avoid crossing rivers or currents during the rains, preparing the 72 -hour backpack and reporting any emergency to number 119.
