This Tuesday, October 28, the fifth stage of the 2025 Cycling Tour of Guatemala will be held, known as the “queen stage” due to the demanding mountain difficulty that the route will present.
After four intense stages, the leadership is in the hands of Colombian Cristian Muñoz, from the Nu Colombia team. Carlos Gutiérrez is in second position, followed by Óscar Garzón in third place. Fourth place is occupied by Guatemalan Édgar Torres, from the Hino One La Red team, who is 2 minutes and 6 seconds behind the leader.
So far, Torres is the best national representative in this edition and will seek to stay in the fight for the first places. The coming stages will be decisive in defining the future of the competition, in which the current champion Robinson López will try to attack, together with the winner of the Vuelta a Colombia, Rodrigo Contreras, to regain ground.
For their part, Guatemalans Mardoqueo Vásquez, Melvin Torres, Fredy Toc and Julio Ispanché hope to stand out in these days and fight for the title to stay in Guatemala again.
High intensity days are coming in the Vuelta, with the star riders determined to be protagonists and achieve glory. For leader Cristian Muñoz it will be a real test of fire to resist the attacks and stay at the top of the classification.
