Following the announcement of a temporary ceasefire during the week of April 6, international prices began to stabilize. As a result, on April 10, a first reduction of up to Q0.50 per gallon was registered on premium, regular and diesel gasoline.
Subsequently, on April 15, a more significant adjustment was reported, which was up to Q1.50 reduction in diesel and approximately Q1.00 in regular gasoline and above.
What are the current fuel prices?
According to monitoring at stations in the metropolitan area, self-service modethe current ranges are:
- Regular gasoline: between Q37.97 and Q37.99
- Top gasoline: between Q38.97 and Q38.99

Fuel subsidy: status of the process
On April 14, the Congress of the Republic approved the Emergency Support Law for Diesel and Gasoline Consumerswhich contemplates a temporary contribution of:
- Q8 per gallon of diesel
- Q5 per gallon of regular and higher gasoline
This April 20, the president Bernardo Arevalo sanctioned the decree and it was already published in the Diario de Centro América.
