Álvaro Arbeloa, coach of Real Madrid, stated this Tuesday, after the whistles he received Vinícius during the match against Alavés, who wants the Brazilian player to stay with the white team for many years.
The Madrid coach defended one of the players most whistled by the Bernabéu crowd after losing to Bayern Munich. Along with Camavinga, Vinícius was the most criticized and, after scoring one of the two goals for the white team, he apologized to his fans.
“I am sure and I hope and wish that Vinícius Júnior wants to stay at Real Madrid for many years. I want Vinícius to stay here for many years. That is what matters to me. I firmly believe that Vinícius has the love of the Madrid fans,” said.
“We cannot deny him the attitude of always wanting more, of trying, of not hiding. He has great courage. He is a great Real Madrid fan, he feels the shield a lot and I am very happy when in the end the public rewards him with applause. I don’t have the feeling that it is something generalized or that it happens every day or that it is only with Vinícius,” he added.
Furthermore, he declared that, at Real Madrid, all the players will die with the demands of their stadium, which, he stressed, always wants to bring out the best in its players.
“They whistled at me as a sign of demand, knowing what one can give. What always makes me happy is that he changes the first whistles for applause. He has done it many times and for me it is the important thing.”
Asked if he thinks about Carvajal’s chances of playing in the World Cup, he was forceful: “I have 20 players or 23. Any Real Madrid player has a chance to go to the World Cup and, if you allow me, I will think about what is best for my team”.
Regarding Jude Bellingham, substituted in the second half, he explained that he changed the English player because he was coming back from an injury and needs him for the next games.
“With Militao I didn’t want to take any kind of risk. I need him as much as possible for Friday. He always has that mentality and, even in a game like this, he wants to continue adding minutes on the field. “We don’t have to give it more importance, because we are going to see him next Friday on the field.”
He also had words for Camavinga, the other of Real Madrid’s most criticized players against Alavés: “He is back on the field, playing, helping the team. He has a lot of personality and great experience. Whenever he is going to need it, like today, he is going to jump on the field. These months it has been important. He has added minutes. He arrived at Real Madrid very young and has won many important titles. Not only does he have the trust of his coach, but also that of the club and the fans.”
Regarding Real Madrid’s objective until the end of the season, he made it clear that it will be to win the six games that remain to be played and pointed out that every game counts for Real Madrid.
“As I always say, I care very little about what I have at stake. The important thing is what Real Madrid has at stake and we will go out to win the six remaining games. My message is clear. We have a demand and a responsibility.”
