The Municipal Firefighters reported that this Thursday, April 23, a person died in an armed attack on 15th Avenue and 15th Street, Zone 1 of the capital. They added that they were alerted by motorists and neighbors who heard multiple gunshots.
According to the report, the victim was identified as Michael Antonio Martínez, 29, who suffered injuries to his skull and back.
During the incident, a 25-year-old man was injured and suffered injuries to his abdomen, chest, and upper and lower extremities.
The injured man was stabilized and then transferred in a delicate condition to the Emergency Room of the San Juan de Dios General Hospital.
According to information from the National Civil Police (PNC), the injured man is the alleged hitman and is in police custody. A firearm was seized from him.
The PNC added that the alleged perpetrator was injured when confronting agents.
The Pietro Beretta weapon that was seized from him is reported to have been stolen in August 2024 in zone 10.
The detainee was identified as Ismael “N”, 24 years old.

The Departmental Municipal Firefighters reported that on Wednesday night a man was shot to death on a sports field in Ciudad del Sol, zone 4 of Villa Nueva.
They also reported that in a home in block “G” in sector 1 of Villa Hermosa 2, zone 7 of San Miguel Petapa, a deceased person was located.
According to the report, the body is in an advanced state of decomposition, so lifeguards alerted the corresponding authorities.
