The Volunteer Fire Department was alerted in the last few hours by an armed attack in the jurisdiction of Escuintla, an event that left a man dead.
The fatal victim has not yet been identified, according to the report of the paramedics who arrived at the scene of the attack to provide assistance to a group of people who were injured.
The attack was reported at kilometer 134 of the highway that leads from Río Bravo to the Tiquisate sector, in the department of Escuintla, according to the paramedics.
One man died due to the severity of his injuries while two were taken alive to a hospital. Both the deceased and the injured have not been identified.
In other cases, the Volunteer Fire Department located a body after a report from citizens, who said they saw “a lump” that warranted notifying the security forces.
The discovery occurred on Las Tunas Boulevard, in zone 11 of Mixco, locating a body that has not been identified wrapped in a black nylon.
Also in the last few hours, a traffic incident was reported at kilometer 25 of the Inter-American Highway that left a motorist dead, according to the Departmental Municipal Fire Department.
The scene of the accident shows that a motorcyclist was hit by a vehicle, causing blows to the motorcycle’s tailpipe that ended up taking his life.
